Emily graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Tech University on Dec. 12, 2015 where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations. She also graduated with a minor in general business and honors from the Honors College.
While at Texas Tech, Emily was a staff reporter, copy editor and summer managing editor for The Daily Toreador. She also interned with the Texas Tech Office of Communications and Marketing, where she wrote news releases, advisories, pitches, feature stories and interacted with media outlets. In total, she wrote more than 200 stories as part of the student-run, daily newspaper and her internship. She also participated in the Define Your Line campaign, where she worked with two professors and a group of students to educate the Texas Tech campus in healthy sexual communication.
Emily is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. A five-time President's List and two-time Dean's list recipient, Emily graduated from Texas Tech in 3.5 years and was the College of Media & Communication's top graduate and banner bearer. She has received numerous scholarships, including the Hearst Endowment Scholarship.
Emily loves fashion, reading, writing and coffee, and she has a serious case of wanderlust. In her spare time, she can be found updating her blog For Love, Life & Coffee, reading her latest Amazon purchase, rooting for her Texas Tech Red Raiders, or exploring the city with her camera in hand.
